Product Search
In addition to SKU # and Style Header # (for creating / managing a family of color / size type items), ProfitCenter allows the call center and web store shoppers to do advanced searches using key words, partial words, dollar range, brand name, category and many other variables. 

Add our optional search module for web and / or call centers and your searches can result in faceted groupings from product attributes, such as several dollar ranges, OEM and non-OEM groupings, leather, vinyl & fabric groupings.  You define the product attributes, then define the groupings that are created by each product result.

Heavy Parts Drop Shipping
Each vendor can be assigned a specific method for communication throughout the purchase order lifecycle: EDI, vendor web portal, mapped file transfer, email, fax or print for manual transmission.

Seat / Dash / Mat Production
For outdated models, many retailers have created templates for cutting, sewing and distributing OEM-like replacements “in-house”.  ProfitCenter has the order management capabilities to issue these “made to order” lines as work orders with: raw material picking locations, work station(s) instructions, standard labor costs and put-away locations.  Once finished and placed in it’s assigned location, the custom made item is automatically assigned it’s new COG and allows the release of non-custom items for picking, including the temporary custom item location.

 

Seat / Dash / Mat Personalization
ProfitCenter has the order management capabilities to issue these “personalized after order” lines as work orders with: picking locations for blank products, work station(s) instructions for personalization, standard labor cost assignment and finished goods put-away location.  Once finished and placed in it’s assigned location, the personalized item is automatically assigned it’s new COG and allows the release of non-custom items for picking, including the temporary custom item location (if using our HTC control)

Consultative Call Center Sales Commission
Almost 50% of the calls an automotive aftermarket retailer receives is from a customer who is about to purchase the wrong part!  The operation of a profitable business depends on your call center’s ability to determine an error and consultatively help your customers to purchase the right product the first time.  You can encourage this process by providing a commission program that is based on not only their sales performance, but also their ability to maintain gross margin goals, by automating higher commission rates for minimizing discounting for products and their freight.

 

Vehicle Restoration “Loyalty” Promotions
The ProfitCenter family of solutions offers several loyalty tools for catalog, eCommerce and retail store sales. 

First, you can assign “points” to products purchased.  As the customer accumulates more points, the order management system will automatically exchange those points into gift cards and send them out via email or your branded gift card.

Another option is to “sell” or “give away” memberships.  You can create different levels of memberships that differ in their discount and time period.  Once the customer is identified, they will shop, receive quotes and purchase at their membership discounted price and shipping cost on your web site, in your call center and at our retail store(s).

 

International Destinations
Orders to international customers who “covet” your domestic brand require:

  • Special HTC rules to minimize partial shipments and delays to complete shipments
  • Frequent credit card re-authorization, to assure held items are for good reason
  • Automatic creation of international shipping documents
  • Frequent order status emails, with automatic emails when a line status changes

 

Multiple Pay Methods
A restoration project often accumulates into a large single order in order to qualify for freight discounts, membership qualification or seasonal timing.  These large orders require easy partial payment across several credit cards and/or pay methods.  ProfitCenter allows such payment methods in our call center screens and eCommerce shopping cart.

 

High Fraud Products
Any high ticket product that is in high-demand with a younger generation is suspect to fraudulent order attempts.  These frequent attempts to purchase stereos, lighting systems and wheel rims can be automatically placed in a manager review bucket with reasoning based on:

Kits and Configurations
Our Product Catalog allows you to create and maintain complex product permutations: styles, kits, variable kits configurations and merchandised assortments (Picture Groups).  When presented in your call center, these products can drive options that build the total price and contain dependencies to keep your call center agents from making incorrect selections.

Kits can be pre-assembled, with automatic replenishment notification or assembled on the fly, after orders are entered.  All costs, including standard labor and materials, roll up to automate the application of a total cost of goods.
