B2B Extranets & Micro Sites

For those clients whose sales either include or are totally B2B, ProfitCenter’s eCommerce Software Solution includes several features not available in other platforms that only focus on consumer sales.

To support web “self service” for business accounts, ProfitCenter’s eCommerce Software Platform includes extranet access.  Once a business user logs onto your retail web store, it becomes an extranet store with appropriate variables dynamically refreshed to show client specific information, such as the customer’s unique contract pricing, price breaks, accounts payable status and any quotes generated by their sales representative.

There are three levels of extranet access that can be assigned to any contact within a business account:

  • Extranet Access - authorizes the contact to shop for the account at contract prices.
  • Extranet Administrator – authorizes the contact to administer the extranet control page, such as creating users and updating the business account's information (billing, shipping, address book), as well to shop for the account.
  • Extranet AR – allows the same access as Extranet Access, and allows viewing of their open Accounts Payable status.

Do you want to provide customers with their own “store within a store”?  Our Micro Site technology allows users to easily create customer stores to accommodate annual contracts with corporations and government agencies, as well as provide employees a convenient way to select their service award gift.  Micro site features include:

eCommerce software must generate keyword laden, natural URLs, without query strings and session IDs. Standard strings come directly from our product catalog and end in the format of category / subcategory / product name.

Optionally, while waiting for your new ProfitCenter driven eCommerce store to build a priority in the search engines' index, we can preserve your prior site's rankings for the products you select, by maintaining their URL string.

Each product added to your product catalog gets automatically added to your dynamic site map to ease crawler indexing and facilitate deeper site penetration per visit. Included is the ability to submit XML site maps to the search engines.

System Management

ProfitCenter’s eCommerce Software provides an Administration module that allows you to create the infrastructure for all the other modules.  Through this module, your administrator will also have full control to define departmental roles, to which you can grant screen access, assign screen activity privileges, define financial limits, customize dashboards, create employee users and assign roles to users.

Full access to system use, activities and transactions allows your system manager to maintain security and control. Administration is easily exercised over tables, report design, data import and export. All data movement is validated automatically by the system.

Clients are provided with a secondary account for testing new procedures, data movement, new versions and changes in switch settings. This account includes its own web site for use in testing "customer facing" system changes, page design changes and content changes.

System activities are automatically logged for review by your administrator.
