Gift Finder
ProfitCenter’s optional advanced search allows merchants to define their own unique search or questionnaire criteria.  Used as a gift finder in your call center and web store allows customers to find the perfect gift faster by using dollar range, occasion, age of recipient and any other variable desired. 

Define your product attributes, then define the groupings that are created by each product result.  A web and / or call center search for “chocolate gift baskets” can result in several facet groups that help your customer more quickly find the product they need, such as price groupings, occasion groupings, etc.

Multiple Ship-to Orders: line control for recipient, ship method and FOD

Fruit Gifts Drop Shipped
Each drop ship vendor can be assigned a method for communication throughout the purchase order lifecycle: EDI, vendor web portal, mapped file transfer, email, fax or print for manual transmission.

  • Drop Ship Portal for vendor access to orders, status changes, ASNs and more

Gift Wrap & Sentiments
ProfitCenter has the order management capabilities to capture gift sentiment entries for printing directly onto gift cards or onto packing slips.  Gift wrap purchases can be processed in groups as work orders with: picking locations for products, work station instructions for gift wrapping, standard labor cost assignment and finished goods put-away location.  Once finished and placed in its assigned location, the gift wrapped item is automatically given its new COG and allows the release of non-custom items for picking.  Multi-rack logic allows all gift wrap items and non-gift wrap items to be combined for efficient single shipments.

Order Communications
ProfitCenter Software’s Order Management Software communicates gift order status changes directly to the buyer by automatic emails.  The ship-to recipient receives a packing slip without any pricing information.   In the database, ship-to recipients are identified as such (not customers).

Continuities and Multi-Gift Sets
A popular gift idea, but complex in order management, is the gift that has multiple shipments on pre-determined dates.  A typical example is continuities – a pre-determined set of gifts that ship x-days after the prior gift (in sequence).  Examples include:

  • Collector Items – coins, stamps, replica cars, etc.
  • Books & Music – author series, genre and musician
  • Gift Sets – service sets, cooking utensils, consumables, etc.
  • Foods – 12 months of different chocolates or fruit of the month

ProfitCenter allows for these sequenced gift ideas when using our optional continuity module.  Each continuity plan can be personalized by more than product and timing, such as payment plan, order hold rules and bonus gifts (used for reducing attrition).
