A superior software product deserves superior documentation to complete the package! To get the most out of any software package, especially one as large and comprehensive as our Profitability Suite™, requires readily available, clear, concise and easy-to-follow end user documentation. To meet these requirements, PCS set a goal of providing complete, highly instructive, and easy-to-use online documentation, going far beyond the usual “getting started using…” type of help.
Anyone who has used the online help provided with most software products has found it a frustrating experience. ProfitCenter Software™ is changing that by redefining how end user help is presented. As the PCS Documentation Manager, my objective is to provide help that is understandable to the non-technical user. It guides the user with heavily illustrated step-by-step instructions, so that the user can learn independently how to get the most out of our Profitability Suite™. The very positive feedback from our clients confirms that our online help is superior to anything they have experienced before this.
In addition to the online help, we provide both user manuals and a wide variety of quick reference documents in hard copy format. These documents are derived from and complement the online help, and they are often used as handouts by our instructors during training classes.
To round out our documentation offerings, we also provide the online help for the websites that PCS manages for our clients. Guiding customers who need help through the shopping process contributes to their positive experience when they visit these websites.
Biography:
Frederic Brandi joined ProfitCenter Software Inc. in September 2003 as Documentation Manager.
Mr. Brandi has almost forty years’ experience in information technology in various capacities, including programmer, systems analyst, consultant, trainer and training manager, technical writer, documentation specialist and project/engagement manager. He designed, developed and supported the users of mainframe, client Server and Web applications.
Prior to joining ProfitCenter Software, Mr. Brandi worked for IT companies (IBM and CGI Systems), consulting companies (Infinity Consulting Solutions and Storck, Cataldo, Caroll, and Associates), and end user companies (J. C. Penney and Bankers Trust).
Mr. Brandi holds a Masters Degree in Business Administration from New York University and a BA Degree in History from Williams College.
